Delhi-based GreenZo Energy to set up 250 MW green hydrogen electrolyser factory

The factory will be built with an investment of about Rs 400 crore

New Delhi:GreenZo Energy, a Delhi-basedrenewableenergy consultancy, on Tuesday said it plans to set up a 250-megawatt (MW)green hydrogenelectrolyserfactory with an investment of Rs 300 crore to Rs 400 crore by the end of 2025.

According to the official press release, this would ensure the availability of end-to-end solutions within the country and cut down dependence on imports for this key equipment.

The company has also announced an investment of over Rs 7 crore on the research and development department for the 250 MW proton exchange membrane technology production of the green hydrogen electrolyzer in 2022-23.

“Green hydrogen has emerged as a key fuel that will play a crucial part in achieving a sustainable energy future and the time to build that is now. It will be adopted in sectors such as steel and ammonia where it is critical,” saidSandeep Agarwal, founder and chairman of GreenZo Energy.

The firm also aims to provide solutions for storing, production, generation, and transportation of green hydrogen energy, added the press release.

The company has projects cumulating up to 1,500 MW.
