Gareth has a lot of excellent talking points about the energy transition and the importance of distributed energy sources. One of the critical points holding up the energy transition is the failing grid, and the upgrades required are not funded or even on the horizon.
One solution is to design energy solutions to reduce the number of transmission lines required. The idea of lowering the costs for grid upgrades is how any progress will be made in reducing costs to consumers.
