Every day I visit with industry leaders on the ENB Podcast is a great day. Today is one of those great international days. Thomas Jam stopped by from Copenhagen Atomics, and we talked about the world’s energy crisis.

We cannot get to Carbon Net Zero without atomic energy, and what is the number one reason people hate nuclear power? The nuclear waste and the sheer costs to build reactors. Well, Thomas and his team have solved the issues and are mass manufacturing thorium reactors.

The world is in an energy crisis of unimaginable magnitude, and we need solutions in years, not decades. Very few companies are as far along in the new reactor development as Copenhagen Atomics.

Yes, you just read that right. Mass-producing nuclear reactors that can run off of existing nuclear waste. If I was looking for the right investment to save the world, look no further. We are not decades away, just a couple from mass production. Thomas said, “ And what we have developed in Copenhagen Atomics is a unique type of nuclear reactor where it can take discarded fuel or spent fuel from all the old reactors. And then we can take that fuel and get ten times more energy out of it. And even at the same time, it also becomes less of a radioactive problem. You know, spent fuel from old reactors usually needs to be stored for 10,000 or 100,000 years. But when we have extracted more energy from the coming atomic waste burner, it only needs to be stored for 100 years.”
