JSW Energy completes business reorganisation with focus on renewable energy

JSW Renew Energy (Kar) Ltd, JSW Renewable Energy (Dolvi) Ltd, JSW Energy (Kutehr) Ltd and JSW Hydro Energy Ltd have now become wholly-owned subsidiaries of JSWNEL.

New Delhi:JSW Energyannounced it has completed a series of actions aimed at reorganisation of its green and grey business areas that focus onrenewableenergy and thermal power, respectively.

This includes transfer of 100 per cent of the equity shares held by JSW Future Energy Limited in JSW Renew Energy (Kar) Ltd and JSW Renewable Energy (Dolvi) Ltd, to JSW Neo Energy Limited (JSWNEL); and transfer of 100 per cent of the equity shares held by JSW Hydro Energy in JSW Energy (Kutehr) Ltd to JSWNEL.

It has also completed the transfer of 100 per cent of the equity shares held in JSW Hydro Energy Ltd to JSWNEL.

“Consequent to the aforesaid transfers, JSW Renew Energy (Kar) Ltd, JSW Renewable Energy (Dolvi) Ltd, JSW Energy (Kutehr) Ltd and JSW Hydro Energy Ltd have now become wholly-owned subsidiaries of JSWNEL,” the company said in a stock exchange filing.

It added that the scheme of amalgamation of JSW Future Energy Ltd with JSW Neo Energy Ltd has been filed with and is pending before the NCLT.

JSW Energy board, in a meeting held on 25 Novemeber 2021, had approved the reorganisation for streamlining the renewable energy portfolio and setting up a holding structure to unlock and enhance the shareholders’ value.
