Norwegian vessel owner Solstad Offshore has revealed a new contract with an undisclosed client for the subsea construction vessel Normand Maximus.
The contract has a firm term of one year that will keep the 2016-built unit fully committed to December 2026.
The Normand Maximus is the largest ship in Solstad’s fleet. It was acquired by Aker-dominated AMSC in 2022 and bareboat chartered to Solstad.
The vessel switched ownership in Solstad Offshore restructuring to which AMSC contributed Normand Maximus‘ owning entity in exchange for shares in what became Solstad Maritime. The ship remains on bareboat to Solstad Offshore, which has a stake of about 27% in Solstad Maritime.
