Tesla’s “Project Crystal Sun” is a real tax-incentive filing for a $10.1 billion vertically integrated solar-cell and module plant in Fort Bend County, Texas. It is not yet a committed factory.

Commercial production is targeted for the first quarter of 2029 if Tesla picks the Texas site, wins incentives, and clears permits.
