Rolls-Royce Holdings plc’s (OTC: RYCEY) reports that it already had over 300 deposits for its new electric vehicle ahead of its official unveiling on October 18th.
In an interview with CNBC, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars CEO Torsten Muller-Otvos said that over the two weeks prior to the debut, the prospective buyers had visited the company’s headquarters in Goodwood England to get a sneak peek at the new EV, with a starting price tag of $413,000
Muller-Otvos said, “Spectre is the most perfect product that Rolls Royce has ever produced.”
With a range of 320 miles, the two-door coupe accelerates from 0-60 in 4.4 seconds. The company is touting their new offering as an “Ultra-Luxury Electric Super Coupé.”
It is the first car in Rolls Royce’s blueprint to transition to a fully electric automobile company by the year 2030.
Muller-Otvos told CNBC, “Once they have seen it here, they are delighted. The order book looks strong.”
The first deliveries are expected to begin in the fourth quarter of 2023. In 2021, Rolls Royce delivered 5,586 vehicles.
