1) Japan’s shipping giant NYK said its fleet of operational liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers rose to 91 vessels by the end of March this year.

2) US LNG exporter Sempra and compatriot engineering and construction firm Bechtel are moving forward with construction on the first phase of the Port Arthur LNG export project in Texas worth about $13 billion.

3) US energy firm ConocoPhillips is looking to sign more LNG offtake deals and to secure additional regasification capacities, as it continues to expand its LNG portfolio, according to its management.

4) Turkey’s Karpowership, part of Karadeniz, and Brazil’s state-owned energy firm Petrobras have signed a memorandum of intent to combine their expertise in the LNG and power sectors.

5) Rotterdam-based storage terminal owner VTTI, co-owned by Vitol, IFM, and Adnoc, has entered into a deal with infrastructure manager, Ancala, to buy its 50 percent shareholding in the Dragon LNG terminal in the UK.
