New Delhi:Waaree Energies, a Mumbai-basedsolar modulemanufacturer, on Thursday said it has bagged new orders worth $2.37 billion from domestic and international markets to supply bifacialsolar panels.
According to the official press release, the company currently has a 4 gigawatt (GW) module manufacturing capacity and plans to add another 5 GW by December 2022.
“These orders will enable us in strengthening our market position as we diversify our clientele and expand into newer markets,” said Hitesh Doshi, chairman and managing director, Waaree Energies.
The firm said that its 4-GW solar cell manufacturing capacity is expected to be operational by March 2023.
