Tim: “I started my podcast because if you’re an investor, the interesting thing about minerals and royalties investing as an asset class is there’s no CapEx exposure. And so you can invest in a real asset that gets exposure to commodity prices without exposure to ongoing costs.
And so that becomes attractive to a generalist or someone who is based in another country who doesn’t want to be able to run an oil and gas company from a traditional sense, right?
Right. Running equipment or running a team, etc… You can do it very lean. And so that and I think when you look at the universe of yield-hungry investors, alternatives to fixed income, the bond market, minerals, and royalties become a real interest.”
